With winter upon us and the chance of some really cold weather. My agency wanted to share with you a few helpful tips to help keep the possibility of having frozen pipes.

• Keep garage doors closed

• Open kitchen and bathroom cabinet doors

• Let the cold water drip from a faucet

• Keep the thermostat set to the same temperature

• If your plan to be away during cold weather leave the heat on in your home to at least 55

• For the long term add insulation to attics, basements, and crawlspaces
